Plastic bags choking the oceans and eaten by our cattle’s. Our forest being cut down, frogs killed for their meat, polluted air , toxic waste flowing down the river and much more. This is the present state of affair of our planet today and the species responsible is none other then the most selfish race that exits in this planet, the HUMANS. .

We are so ungrateful and greedy, we don’t care about the Earth, we just eat and eat her valuable resources not giving a damn what are the future consequences nor are we bothered about our future generation. Enviroment issues should be considered by each one living on this planet as a personal problem which needs to be sorted out. We are jointly responsible for the wounds that we have created to our planet and its time we take the responsibility of doing something about it.

Here are some easy tips that we as an individual can start working on. These are the easiest among the lot.

  • Replace a regular incandescent light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb

  • Cover your pots while cooking

  • Take a shower instead of a bath

  • Reuse your shopping bag

  • Plant a tree

  • Check your tires weekly to make sure they’re properly inflated

  • Make sure your voice is heard!

As I looked up at the Wordweb software running on my computer and searched for the meaning of “Faith”, it showed me a couple of meanings, however the following caught my eye, it states “complete confidence in a person or plan”. Whats special about this pic !.. Read on… It’s one of those days when I visited the Panjim market to meet the tailor. It was just an adjustment and it wouldn’t take too long. Considering the big line of eagerly waiting tailors to make a quick morning buck, I decided to go with this sweet looking muslim whose burka obviously indicated the religion. I gave instruction on what I needed and observed her as she did the rest. My observation led to an interesting insight which perhaps would have been ignored if I was in a rush. In her shop, there sat another lady busy stitching a bright yellow kurta. She was a hindu. And there I was , a Catholic, as their customer. All 3 religion under one roof !! . These ladies worked in such harmony. If a simple trade can bring two religion together, in such peace, where both are benefiting  from the trade why can’t the other things, the so called “bigger issues” in our own country and around the world ??

Positive Vibrations Just imagine yourself seating in a room and in enters two person's, first one is standing tall, shoulders straight, head high, looks at you and gives you a pleasant smile as if to say “hope you doing fine“, the second, a hunch back, very tensed face, looking towards the floor as if there is some puck on it, leaving you totally uncomfortable, which one would you turn to for help or perhaps for directions to the nearest post office.
