Dreams

It’s a world of fantasy,

Taking you far from reality,

Every heartfelt wish comes true,

For me and for you.

Loser become winners,

Beggar’s, wear the rich men’s robe,

Love not felt, is felt once more,

Healing wounds which are sore.

Heaven seems next door,

Lovers not distant anymore,

Wars all conquered,

Peace and happiness restored.

Dream, a little dream my friend,

Suffering and sorrows it will end,

When dusk changes to dawn,

New hope it brought, try to hold on.

Down by the beach…

As the stars shone above,

In that clear and crystal sky,

I heard your voice call my name,

As the careless breeze passed me by.

Saw the moonlight make love to the sea,

As the busy crab hurried home,

I felt your touch, you were by my side,

Content, I wasn’t alone.

As the sand kissed my feet,

I watched the distant horizon,

Saw nothing there but darkness,

Until I saw the sparkle in your eyes.

Heard the whisper of the waves,

Down by the beach….

There we were, as the world rushed by,

Hearts close, together and free.

Barren Land

Oh barren land !, sad to see,

No sign of life, nor breath of glee,

The earth so torn,

Where spring once shone,

Once, a garden of love and care,

Now, crowns of thorns pierce the air,

Where smiles of happiness showed,

Now, river of tears flow.

Scars of loosing battles fill you within,

clouds above, carry no silver lining,

cracks of hope once seen,

now filled with darkness and no meaning.

The rains will be here,

With its breath of new life and cheer,

Oh barren land !, hold on till then,

Your days of sorrow will end.

In search of FAITH

As I looked up at the Wordweb software running on my computer and searched for the meaning of “Faith”, it showed me a couple of meanings, however the following caught my eye, it states “complete confidence in a person or plan”. Faith in God our father, indicates, strong trust and confidence in him and the holy trinity. How many of us ,Catholic, have that confidence in our creator ? If you are one of those who can openly say, Yes, I trust my creator and am ever ready to say yes to his holy will, then you need not carry on reading, cause this article are for those who are still in search of faith. One of my favorite verses from the bible is the one from the gospel of John, where the disciples were stuck in a huge storm and our Lord was asleep in the boat .We are all aware how it goes, in spite of Christ being by their side in that huge storm that was surrounding them, the huge waves splashing around and the likely hood that the boat would sink, they shivered with fear, how much more ...

Whats special about this pic !.. Read on… It’s one of those days when I visited the Panjim market to meet the tailor. It was just an adjustment and it wouldn’t take too long. Considering the big line of eagerly waiting tailors to make a quick morning buck, I decided to go with this sweet looking muslim whose burka obviously indicated the religion. I gave instruction on what I needed and observed her as she did the rest. My observation led to an interesting insight which perhaps would have been ignored if I was in a rush. In her shop, there sat another lady busy stitching a bright yellow kurta. She was a hindu. And there I was , a Catholic, as their customer. All 3 religion under one roof !! . These ladies worked in such harmony. If a simple trade can bring two religion together, in such peace, where both are benefiting  from the trade why can’t the other things, the so called “bigger issues” in our own country and around the world ??

Positive Vibes

Positive Vibrations Just imagine yourself seating in a room and in enters two person's, first one is standing tall, shoulders straight, head high, looks at you and gives you a pleasant smile as if to say “hope you doing fine“, the second, a hunch back, very tensed face, looking towards the floor as if there is some puck on it, leaving you totally uncomfortable, which one would you turn to for help or perhaps for directions to the nearest post office. We all know the answer ! What sort of people make life worth living , a bunch of nerds or a bunch of enthusiast ? Here again you know what is the answer. Yes, we are on a look out for people who give us those positive vibes, who take life problems with a smile, we are on a look out for people who make us feel good about ourselves, we are on a lookout for people who with their kind smile help to lessen our burdens.
