Orissa Violence

Religious violence-Orissa,IndiaI wasn’t feeling all that great today morning, was down with a bad cold and fever however I happened to pick up the local newspaper and happened to glance through it. Hoping that I would come across something nice and worth reading. Would definitely make me feel better. Has I glanced through a couple of pages , I came across this short article which mentioned that the Goa Archbishop has condemned the riots between the Hindus and the Catholic in Orissa. Was totally out of touch of what really happened, well it really did not makes sense me knowing what really happened, from the looks of it, it wasn’t something good. Innocent people left dead has two religions clashed !
They say religion and politics are two topics that should never be discussed cause the sentiments of each person towards these two are unique. Fair enough ! I will not get into great details. After reading about these riots, I was left with just my question in my mind, Would it have been better if religion did not exist ??? Would there be less violence and more understanding within the human species then ??
God made man, gave him a set of rules to follow so that he becomes a good human being, so that he turns this world into a heavenly paradise. So why are we left with so much of destruction, violence and evil ??? The seed planted in us was the seed of love and kindness, how come this seed has blackened into evil and hatred ??. Yeah we have a lot of religions and if we lay people go through the basic teachings of each of these religion’s, the basic of every one of them would be “DO GOOD, AVOID VIOLENCE” not vice versa. Is it soo difficult for us to respect the teachings of another religion ??
Men has conquered, the air, the space, the waters and the earth, but yet does not understand the basic necessity of life, love others has you love yourself.If we are not able to understand the meaning of basic humanity we can consider ourselves has a total failure

Whats special about this pic !.. Read on… It’s one of those days when I visited the Panjim market to meet the tailor. It was just an adjustment and it wouldn’t take too long. Considering the big line of eagerly waiting tailors to make a quick morning buck, I decided to go with this sweet looking muslim whose burka obviously indicated the religion. I gave instruction on what I needed and observed her as she did the rest. My observation led to an interesting insight which perhaps would have been ignored if I was in a rush. In her shop, there sat another lady busy stitching a bright yellow kurta. She was a hindu. And there I was , a Catholic, as their customer. All 3 religion under one roof !! . These ladies worked in such harmony. If a simple trade can bring two religion together, in such peace, where both are benefiting  from the trade why can’t the other things, the so called “bigger issues” in our own country and around the world ??

Positive Vibrations Just imagine yourself seating in a room and in enters two person's, first one is standing tall, shoulders straight, head high, looks at you and gives you a pleasant smile as if to say “hope you doing fine“, the second, a hunch back, very tensed face, looking towards the floor as if there is some puck on it, leaving you totally uncomfortable, which one would you turn to for help or perhaps for directions to the nearest post office.
